Really delicious brunch spot, the breakfast sandwich on the salted bagel was good. It wasn’t anything special or ingenious- just a fresh bagel with egg and bacon. The vibes were fantastic, great aesthetic, cozy spot. Donuts were amazing- get one for sure. Like many though, I agree that it’s overpriced. $70 for two sandwiches and two mimosas doesn’t really make a lot of sense. You are not getting what you pay for in that sense. As well, the bartender was looking for a lost receipt by way of taking all of them out of the trash and putting them on the clean glasses sifting through them. That was a bit weird and non hygienic, wouldn’t recommend doing that. Once it’s in the trash, best sift somewhere not behind the bar.

Great cozy atmosphere. They have seasonal cocktails that are unique and interesting (one had tahini foam, incredible), as well as a dealer’s choice cocktail which is fun. Wine program could use a little work, but that’s okay. The service is very attentive and pleasant! The food was fresh, unique, and has a focus on local ingredients. Our favorites were the wings, Campanelle (pictured), pickle plate, and Muhammara spread.
First time at Scratch and had an absolutely spectacular brunch. The whole vibe of the place was chill and bright. We ordered quiche with potatoes, shakshuka, and two donuts, all of which were 10/10 delicious. Even the drip coffee was excellent. Honestly hard-pressed to say which entree we liked more, but the shakshuka might have edged to the front with the heat and spice levels being perfectly on point. Our server Cynthia was also just delightful. Kind and fun and that perfect balance of being present without it being too much. Honestly, one of the best brunches we've had in a long time and really looking forward to going back for dinner.
I love this spot - it's so cozy and the atmosphere feels like home. The drinks and food are prepared with such care and it truly shows. I will say, come here expecting to spend some time as the dishes do take a minute to come to your table - it's a nice change of pace from the fast paced word we are in and forces you to slow down and just enjoy the environment! I've been here for both a private event and recently a date night and I would recommend it for both!
Went here for a wedding and had the most wonderful time! Nathan is an incredible bartender and human. Really wonderful service and he convinced us to come back for dinner service and brunch! Incredible food, lovely cocktails, and the BEST espresso martini in Pittsburgh. Can't wait to visit again!
dinner was so delicious! Loved the cocktails, foccacia & muhamarra, pickle plate and Koginut soup. Chocolate chip cookies were also amazing with Millie’s ice cream. Our waiter treated us to a free slice of olive oil cake. Service was so friendly and cool.
Just moved to the area and was looking for a restaurant in the area. We pull up and think “is this it”? Not because of what it looked like but because it’s kind of just in the middle of neighborhood. We walk in and the vibe is incredible. The aesthetic is whimsical. We sit at the bar and the bartenders were very kind. They were busy. We ordered two apps, the wings and the focaccia and I can’t speak highly enough of this red middle eastern sauce that came with the focaccia. If I could eat that for the rest of my life, I’d die happy. The wings were also great, albeit small. Next we got the burger and as soon as you bite into it you notice the flavor of the best pickle on a burger…ever. Come to find out, they make their own pickles. Lastly, had to get dessert because we needed to see if they could go 3 for 3. We ordered the Olive Oil cake. Because the pieces weren’t visually appealing (slightly smooshed), they gave us 2! Wasn’t going to say “no” to that! They delivered. 3/3. Hands down one of the best casual meals in the burgh! Highly recommend!
